The whole tower is as vast and wide as the sky itself. Each floor is paved with countless gems of all kinds. Down in the tower there are countless palaces, porch windows, stairwells, handrails and passages, all of which are made of the seven kinds of gems. And within this wide tower are hundreds of thousands of other towers, each as full and each as wide as the sky. And all these towers are not in the least in the way; each of them preserves its individual existence in perfect harmony with the rest. Doordringing
Heel de toren is zo uitgestrekt en wijds als de hemel zelf. Elke vloer is geplaveid met ontelbare edelstenen van alle soorten. Lager in de toren bevinden zich ontelbare paleizen, veranda's vensters, trappenhuizen, leuningen en doorgangen, welke alle vervaardigd zijn uit de zeven soorten edelstenen. En binnen deze wijdse toren bevinden zich honderduizenden andere torens, elk even vol en elk zo wijds als de hemel. En al deze torens staan elkaar niet in het minst in de weg; elk ervan behoudt zijn individuele bestaan in volmaakte harmonie met de rest.
